      Pros

      Engineers feel empowered to make decisions and get things done. Many of the engineering teams have a strong and supportive culture.

      Cons

      There is a lot of technical debt; but if you enjoy refactoring it can be very rewarding. There are a lot of politics involved when trying to get work done between engineering teams.

      Great co-workers and culture Creativity and "passion projects" encouraged 100% remote Good work/life balance, rarely expected to work evenings or weekends

      Large company and different groups are extremely siloed Working remote made it difficult to understand impacts to other groups and the business overall A painful amount of layoffs and job cuts recently (me being one of them) Decisions made at a high level seem disconnected or arbitrary relative to our day-to-day work
