Pros

The products are good (except the MX lol).

Cons

Lack of vision, mediocre managers. Coming from Cisco, I thought it would be the same or even better, but it has been a nightmare. It was a huge mistake coming here. How do you select your managers? They don't know the business, they don't have people skills, and I've heard several times from mine that I'm just a number. I can't believe I can not work from home or have ANY flexibility. It is a large call center with cute dogs. If you have sales skills then don't apply here, they don't value them.

HR leadership in short supply

Pros

Culture across teams at Meraki varies but generally, entry and middle-level employees are approachable and responsive.

Cons

HR leadership is lacking. More concerned about employees not using colloquial phrases like "hey guys" than skillfully rolling out job architecture and compensation programs. Meraki has promoted middle-level managers into sr leadership roles that are above and beyond their skill set and natural talents.

The good days are over

Pros

- good benefits and perks - IC-level employees are generally good people - nice office space

Cons

- executive team preaches diversity but the major "important" teams like product management are still hugely lacking (no effort to educate these teams either) - day-to-day work is driven by bureaucracy, with little attention given to results - catty management and a fear of confrontation has led to a lack of transparency - no upward trajectory or proper compensation increases for top performers - lack of action in removing the bottom performers, resulting in extra work and decreased morale for everyone else
