Pros

Some good people Nice office Good product

Cons

The company is having the same issues repeatedly and they are just not listening. The culture is toxic as employees continue to discuss the inexcusable behaviour from some management. Employee satisfaction is at an all time low resulting in an increasing number of people leaving. Promotions have been halted and pay has become very uncompetitive. Anonymous feedback has been shared about UK managers but the severity continues to be played down. Inconsistent connected rec is handed out and so there is always deserved appreciation missed. Managers should be using a budget every quarter to encourage consistent review of efforts. My work from home equipment expenses were rejected unfairly. Global reps have knowingly taken revenue belonging to Germany and the UK but allowed by Sales ops. Fading sales atmosphere and increasing partner efforts pushed onto sales. Director favouring manager over employees in situations raised and benefits being selectively offered. No pay reviews at all only for changing role.

Pros

Great office Great events from time to time Some really great people that make a huge difference Some great leaders who really care

Cons

Lots of revenue stealing by same people but no action taken. Technical training done poorly. No career progression or pay rises since over a year due to Covid even if deserved or due. Unequal patches so impossible to measure rep success. Countless manager issues raised with Director but nothing being listened to or worked on. Happiness dependent on manager so difficult to love the job. Managers discussing team confidential info even though asked not to so many times. Micro management that makes work not enjoyable. Club incentive given to people unfairly and promotions based on inaccurate success. Reps unbooking and rebooking deals and getting recognition each time. No action taken on those who steal deals so people will continue to do it. Losing good people because no one is listening to the problems. Popular people rewarded. Targets are increasing but rewards and career progression is at a halt. Hard to justify staying

Fall from grace

Pros

- Lots of room for diversity. A large number of active, employee run ERO groups and CSR campaigns with generous funding for events and awareness, as well as dedicated time off for volunteering - Abundant opportunity for growth via a myriad of programs and education schemes, free lectures, seminars and mentor program

Cons

- The pandemic has reduced the culture to nothing. Key players that drove enthusiasm during Meraki's growth period have all resigned due to lack of opportunity and recognition. Focus has shifted from cultivating passion to overcomplicated bureaucracy which bears no fruit. - The extreme turnover in middle and upper management (every sales director and manager in the Asia Pac region is "new") has left entire teams unsure of what their job actually is, while business critical teams struggle for headcount and resources. - Middle management is confused and overworked with very little direction due to rotating doors at the upper management level. - Pay is severely below market average while job progression opportunities are non existent. - Cisco continues to absorb defining characteristics of Meraki into their core product. It won't be long before Meraki folds into Cisco completely
