Cons
- Leadership, especially the Dean of Student Services, was unprofessional, cold, and unsupportive. - I was let go without clear justification, being told I "didn’t meet expectations" despite never being given any clear goals or feedback. - There was no meaningful training or guidance, yet I was expected to have established external relationships with employers and organizations from the start—an unrealistic demand without institutional support. - The work environment lacked collaboration, growth opportunities, and professional development. - This reflects a larger issue within Merced College, where leadership neglects employee development and fails to foster a supportive workplace. Poor communication and unrealistic expectations harm both staff success and the college’s ability to build community partnerships.
