Pros

The office I work in is nice and I do love the physicians I work with.

Cons

Was lied to about the position, in interview process. Told me no weekend, no calls. I find out I take call every 3rd weekend. They also told me I would be working 34 patient facing hours w/ 6 hours of administrative time. Then after a few months said 36 patient facing hour with 4 hours admin time. Full time physicians in my office are 32 patient facing hours. The expectation is for you to work nights and weekends to get your work done without additional compensation. (I literally have an email saying I should work on nights and weekends from the director) Company constantly tries to add more patients to your panel even if overwhelmed. All the providers worked from home and saw video visits on snow days, we were told mercy lost money during the snow days so they added additional appointment slots to our schedule for a month so they could make their money back. No bonuses or incentives for NP, physicians get HUGE bonuses at the end of the year for quality metrics and completing Medicare visits (which they deserve) but the NPs do help them complete a large portion of these visits and get nothing. Feel extremely underpaid with this company. Lastly, the company pays the MAs less than minimum wage so it is a constant battle to keep support staff. In my office we are expected to room our own patients, perform POC testing, manage in-basket and call all our own results when short staffed( which has been constant) but expected to see same amount of patients. Upper management does not care or understand the role of the provider.
