Pros

Co-workers pull together to get work done even while short staffed. Most staff feel optimistic about Mercy affiliation. Work-life balance is very good.

Cons

Non-nursing staff are generally underpaid and are not considered as pertinent to the work environment as RNs. Management does not have employees best interest and makes every effort to use the least amount of staff at the lowest pay possible. Does not take time to understand day to day operations

Pros

It's a paycheck. Bathrooms have toilet paper, running water and paper towels. Cafeteria has good food. Water fountains work most of the time.

Cons

Poor management from the executives to the unit managers Contradictory management direction Constantly changing policies and practices Operate on a shoestring budget for patient care but company executives get paid bank!
