Pros

Mercy has a wonderful nursing staff this is supportive, caring and fosters an environment for learning. Great system for a new RN to begin a career due to the educational opportunities provided.

Cons

Sadly on my unit, there were no direct hires to day shift. The wait list to day shift was not long but was unavoidable if full time.

Pros

Great people to work with. Solid benefits package which includes tuition assistance. They truly want to help further your career. Great work environment. They like to promote from within.

Cons

Not very flexible on schedules and you are forced to work overtime if the person assigned to next shift calls in or does not show up.
