Pros

Decent 401k plan but need to wait a year

Cons

Managers play word with friends all day Weird people Bad/no communication between everything You are nobody unless you've been there more than 5+ years Sloppy product / inconsistency everywhere Managers need some training in managing. I don't think they took any management courses So many more but first reviewer pretty much sum it up

Pros

Salary was competitive and if you survive the 1st year the 401K plan is good.

Cons

1. No work life balance. 2. Negative treatment of employees 3. Long hours without compensation 4. Have to use vacation time when sick unless you get a note from the doctor 5. Do not pay out vacation when you leave 6. Have to use own cell phone when on implementation team and do not get compensated for work usage. 7. Have to use own laptop on implementation team for up to one year then you can purchase one around half the price to keep when you leave. Just note they remove proprietary software and may mess up any private items saved on "you're computer" when you leave the company. 8. A large portion of the company is not happy and looking for a way out. 9. Only "white collar' company I have worked for where employees don't turn in a notice and just leave for new jobs. 10. Expect employees to be professional but do not treat their employees professionally. 11. High turn over rate 12. Never really know where you stand within the team and with management on a daily basis. Example is one gets blindsided on reviews on items never discussed with management during the period but appear on a review as a "critical" issue.

Pros

There are some great people to work with at SEDC, SEDC seems to pay their people well

Cons

Poor management, expected to cram 70 hours of work into a 40 hour work week, there is no home/work balance, working at SEDC is very stressful, and instead of being rewarded for doing a great job, you will be constantly reminded that you are not doing enough or know enough, and are constantly reminded that you are responsible (ie: you are the one to blame) for whatever project you are assigned to, if it should fail. The only reason anyone should ever work at SEDC is to gain experience and then to move on to a better company
