When I applied to this job there were already negative reviews, but I thought it might just be for other branches. Unfortunately the complaints for other branches appear to apply to the whole company. Unqualified and underperforming employees “fail up” and are given critical roles due to nepotism. Rampant unprofessionalism that would typically get someone fired immediately is ignored if they appear to bring in money. The salary promises were completely falsified (my team were all told we would easily make six figures in our first year, but no one had ever lasted more than a year in our position and previous employees made a fraction of what we earned as “high performers” which was a fraction of what we were told we would make). Several of us left higher paying jobs to make less money with Meridian. Most of the sales team quit within a month of each other. Constant service issues that were never taken seriously with no plan to improve them. We doubled as customer service and got constant angry calls from clients who received horrendous service. This would all have been enough reason to leave, but on top of that were some clear unethical business practices. Tricking clients into signing contracts without being transparent. Lots of talk of “milking clients” locked in contracts with price increases. Charging clients for fake recycling. Nothing at this company worked the way a professional organization should. People were fired mysteriously or unceremoniously but then constantly brought up months later, which made it seem like management was still stalking them online. No clear professional boundaries and constant stress for substandard pay - and all while feeling like you were screwing people over. Worked up a lot of bad karma working for this company. Not even the waste veterans were happy here. Being a hard worker alone is not enough to power through this position - steer clear.
