Pros

The ECL technology is good as it has many advantages over the competition. If you are in sales, you have the potential to make decent money but there are many caveats.

Cons

It is an extremely challenging place to work and not a good work/life balance in my opinion. I urge you to read other reviews and to take them seriously. I'm guessing the good reviews were written by current managers. If you don't believe me (and you are considering working for MSD, especially in the field), do yourself a favor and reach out to 5+ former employees on LinkedIn and have a conversation with them. Make it 10 if you would like to feel more comfortable with your decision. Then, you decide based on what you hear.

Cons

1. A common theme among MSD employees, former and current, is that people are underpaid compared to the rest of the industry. 2. An educational assistance program is advertised as a benefit to prospective employees, but is actually non-existent. Multiple people tried to no avail. 3. I'm not quite sure how to explain it, but there is an aspect of the company culture that hinders employees from transferring internally. Whether it is direct or indirect interference, I don't know.
