MetLife's Atlanta Office Sucks

Pros

Benefits were good. I also liked the location of the office. I guess they try to act like they care...

Cons

Preface: I cannot speak for all MetLife offices-- solely for the Atlanta location. I am a young woman, and the men in the office would make sexist comments to me constantly. I was once told that one of the only advantages I have, being young, is that I have a "pretty face". People would ask me why I am there and tell me that I should be prepared to be broke. The environment was horrible, and it completely brought down my spirit. Then, when I elected to no longer be a part of the TAP program, my account was deactivated without my knowledge; I was given no forewarning. Also, because my account was disabled, I was not able to get any documents off of my computer that I had saved. It was so unethical and unprofessional to me. I'm so glad I don't have to be in that office anymore, and I feel bad for the miserable people there who feel good working daily in that hostile environment.

Pros

Very flexible (telecommuting/work schedules), good benefits package, high employee autonomy, nice people.

Cons

Upper management shows very little regard for employees' health/well-being, excessive and unrealistic workloads, low office morale/poor work environment, ideals spouted by management don't match their actions.
