Pros

Competitive salary, great benefits, opportunity to work remotely and flexibility in work schedule as may needed from time to time.

Cons

Among the worst IT operations and systems I have ever seen. The company opens bids every year or so to outside vendors to handle IT issues and some of the best IT folks get laid off when a new vendor is assigned. None of the IT 'help' desk associates live in the U.S and while all my encounters with them have found them to be pleasant and really try to resolve issues, they are so often hard to understand due to thick accents. Last year they were all in India and this year, all in some country in South America. I have a background in speech/haring disorders as well as communications, so my 'ears' are a little sharper than most in terms of understanding the spoken word, but it has really been put to the test during the last few years after the company no longer supported IT help staff in the U.S.

Pros

I have nothing to say about MetLife, I was only there for seven days stuck in a class and never had any hands on.

Cons

they let you go in seven days, no hands on , just tells the temp agency that he is not a good fit. It was more an elimination game, we started out ten people and employees were not showing up day by day they were cutting the class short.

Pros

I truly can't think of any. I guess that the good thing is that the turnover is so rapid that it's easy to get a job there.

Cons

Very confusing. Only care about money, not customers. In the middle of diversity training top managers were sexually harassing the trainer, not to mention offering her aggressive racial slurs. I would never recommend this company. My manager said that joining MetLife was the worst career decision he had ever made.
