Pros

Great Benefits, Flexible schedules, Great Products and support from wholesalers. Prior to recent "realignments" of Individual Business markets, it was a great place to work.

Cons

Recent changes resulting from the "realignment" of the southeast Virginia agency have resulted in the reduced support to Financial Representatives. This includes a total lack of management supervision, reduced marketing support, elimination of sales leads, reduction of mid-level sales managers, and budget cuts to marketing co-ops, etc. In addition, the managers refuse to communicate what the future holds for the agency.

Pros

There used to be a feeling that hard work was rewarded. Now all the extra hours and effort are just expected with zero appreciation...

Cons

In recent years, a great deal has changed in how employees are treated. Senior management has become incredibly secretive and out of touch.

Pros

Metlife is convenient for those who live in Northeast. It has a great cafeteria and great landscaping with park like atmosphere.

Cons

Everything is micro-managed. Only three sick days per year. Very low salaries and almost no raises. Dysfunctional managment without any skill and no training.
