Pros

Large, complex systems challenges with ample resources (a huge account for any software vendor). Collaborative culture, for the most part. Good benefits and a solid company (did not need or take TARP money).

Cons

Annual layoffs, offshoring and outsourcing are a way of life for MetLife I/T. It takes more than just doing a good job, you also need political savvy and visibility to higher ups. Excessive focus on cost control at times.

Some of the best reasons to work in MetLife are: 1. It just closed a large partnership with second largest PSU bank in India 2. Dynamic and young peer group 3. Room to grow and experience diverse workspace
