Pros

The benefits are sick: transportation, food/drinks, RSUs, baby cash, fitness $$, awesome PTO, unlimited sick days, paid sabbatical after 5 years.

Cons

Lots now. Passive, quiet layoffs. Becoming very inwardly competitive. Software Engineers are gods. Becoming too async.

Pros

The Meta culture is very unique being a huge company with a huge focus on organic exploration and advocacy. It's great as an IC being very empowered to have a voice and advocate for it and to be free, safe and encouraged to have open discussions with leadership.

Cons

That same culture that empowers the individual, at 100k+ employees, makes for a very messy, complex environment, especially when trying to work horizontally, and trying to drive decision making and prioritization.
