Poor design leadership in Reality Labs (Especially in Wearables). No clear goals. Feedback often boiled down to "I like it when I see it" or "Zuck wants us to change it." The focus was on "craft" rather than whether the overall experience was actually good. In practice it felt like lipstick on a pig. Leadership instability. I had three managers in six months and constant moving goal posts. Priorities and feedback shifted constantly. Performance processes can feel arbitrary. My termination was attributed to "performance" even though my work is shipping and my team and cross-functional partners were confused by the decision. Toxic culture. It is political and top-heavy, which makes it difficult for ICs and mid-level managers to succeed when leadership changes above them.

- Nonstop work, worsening culture, limited recognition, limited mobility, continuously tightening performance review standards, nonstop layoffs despite record-breaking revenues... but hey, at least we have industry-leading severance packages.
