Pros

Benefits were amazing. Team mates were some of the most humble, hardworking and brilliant you will ever come across. Piloting new opportunities in diversity and innovation was a highlight - even if they didnt work out. The created new paths for better products.

Cons

Although vacation is encouraged, few times did I experience this being respected by my team. I would recieve texts and emails even though everyone was well aware of my vacation. Promotion velocity is at an alltime halt for alot of ppl of color especially women. Pile on work is the result from being a lean company. You were on to bigger and better projects by the month which required efforts that were draining and ideal for burnout. Little time to really rest and digest.

Pros

I was laid off for a minute amongst many thousands after being there almost 4 years. I would say the best things about this company are the people that you meet and the benefits and pay that you get. The saving Grace is at most of the people you'll meet are fantastic and that the benefits are top notch.

Cons

The review culture is toxic to the extent where it makes you competitive amongst your pairs. It's important to stand out with your accomplishments but almost sacrifices where you stand with others as if it's a competition due to how many ratings they can give out per category. Also how supportive of your manager makes the biggest difference because if they don't have your back you're not going to get rated well. I had meets all consistently until I was out for 25% of the year on injury and then I was critiqued with a meets most because I didn't hit the bar of what I should be accomplishing which I should have fought with HR. The layoff structure is very bizarre because they laid off so many thousands of people and then started having to rehire again so it seemed very haphazard. The way that they made you start doing performance review again when they said they wouldn't shows that they just constantly lie. My work life wasn't bad but I know for a lot of people it is now taking on work that other people used to do when they were still employed and some teams are just working crazy hours anyway there's a lot of pressure to quietly over work. I know people who were complimented for working while on paternity which made me sick.
