Pros

- Great benefits and perks. - Get to interact with different types of employees daily. - Well paid for the role which at the end of the day is a helpdesk role regardless of level.

Cons

- With COVID and remote work there's been a shift to remote support even if you're a field tech. This feels constraining especially if you're a higher level IC who's trying to get promoted and grow your career. - Micromangement has grown within the past year. Management is constantly watching for techs not supporting users and they will reach out to see what you're doing with your time. - The org has adopted a call center mentality and techs now have to hit a monthly quota to avoid management review. - Team attrition seems to be getting higher leaving the team understaffed. - No long term career growth due to lack of time for training. - Some engineers look down on techs even if they have advanced technical skills.

Pros

The salary is excellent and engineering decisions aren't made from on high.

Cons

Each day employees are waterboarded with wokeness. The focus of the company now seems to be social engineering and activism. From an engineering perspective there is a not-invented-here-syndrome almost as bad as RedHat. There are many third rails that may not be touched.
