Pros

Smart people who more or less care Awesome benefits Top in Pay Many daily perks (like free food, etc.) which is all very helpful Events and many things to engage in and build relationships at work beyond just work which is nice Hit or miss manager support Hit or miss postive team culture Tend to have budget to do what you need ... although can also be a bit hit or miss

Cons

Whatever has been happening since 2020 feels really toxic Passive agressive culture PSC (how you are rated) is basically a not funny joke Someone very high up (c-suite) once basically said that FB is a social network that operates basically like a social network If that is your thing, you are good at self-promotion, don't mind others self-promoting, etc. it could work well for you If the pros outweight the cons go for it. But if you can find a similar job in a less complex company, with a less toxic culture --probably better A different sr. exec who joined from google after dealing with so much workplace stress that they became physically unhealthy. The stress led to fertility complications. Fast foreard, after being in Meta for about a month said this is feeling too much like Google. And I already know from that experience, that this isn't worth a million $ . It isn't worth my health. And they left. In a very smart and strategic way. But they left. Saying that to say, if you have other options, even if they have less pay... is better to make less money and be well, healthy, and alive, than to be employeed at a big name company that is going to wear you out. REALLY, really, really, really get as curious as you can about your team, culture of boss, how they think about PSC, etc. b4 saying yes
