Pros

As a product manager, you make extremely high stakes decisions at high speed all day long. It's a high, if I am honest. The sense of ownership and impact is incredible and I've never seen this level of empowerment among product managers anywhere else. You can get experience in a lot of different areas and explore what you like. I worked on foundational AI models, augmented reality (AR), graphics and rendering, the smartwatch, core user experience of wearable devices, Trust and Safety. There is never a boring day.

Cons

The company I joined is not the company I left. Meta is not fun to work at anymore. People are openly abused to make them leave so management can save headcount. All the layoffs and firings have created a culture of fear, backstabbing and bullying as everyone is trying to survive. Product decisions are no longer forward-looking since the only thing teams care about is whether the product manager can bring enough "impact" for the next 6 months to save their engineers from being cut. Some product managers are still traumatized, months later, after they were targeted for a performance firing and told they were worthless, while the only true reason for firing them was the mandatory headcount cuts. I couldn't deal with this toxicity and left.
