For the select few, it's great - for everyone else, it's where careers go to die...
Pros
Great benefits, some really interesting people and great career trajectory if you joined 10+ years ago...
Cons
The culture has become incredibly toxic after all the waves of lay-offs and sudden 'reveals' about performance lay-offs, etc. Feels more like a bad game of Survivor, particularly in the non-Product / Engineering space where it's clear that company leadership wants to eliminate as many roles as quickly as possible to fuel the 'AI cash burning fire'. It will also shock you how little autonomy you have compared to other companies you've worked at - I've grown less as a professional here than any other company I've worked at because management just dictates what they want and there's really very little opportunity for growth. There's also really no clear strategy other than 'AI everything'. Expect constant pivots (like every 3 months) where you throw out everything you've done to date and start over with new objectives and likely new partners and new management. VP's are pretty transparently just trying to save their jobs and milk fat RSU payouts as long as possible and talk out of both sides their mouths.
