I can only talk about my experience and not about working at Meta in general. I’m sure there are great teams and managers.
But from my experience: I had three different managers in a period of two years. One of them was on a wellness leave because they were suffering bullying from other managers (yes, this is real!), and the other two were clueless, had no leadership skills, no empathy, and I did not feel supported at all. The team in Austin was amazing, but the team members abroad were very competitive - in a toxic way!
I’m grateful for the learning experience and all the amazing human beings I met along the way. But I did not have a very good experience as a Meta employee, especially because of my managers.
