Pros

I really like working here, everyone is really friendly, the work I do is meaningful and I'm recognised for things I do well, on the flip side when I'm struggling or unsure there is always someone there to help me. The people that work here are some of the most talented people I've ever met. I always think its a good thing when you feel like the idiot in the room. There are offices all over the UK so if you don't want to be based in London there are alternatives There are always social events going on, Beers in the local pub or sports and activities. I go and play football on a Wednesday lunch time and rugby on a Thursday. There is a good canteen providing Breakfast and lunch everyday.

Cons

The office needs to be updated - I think there are plans to do this soon though. other than that its just really good.

Pros

The company culture is unique in my 30 years experience of working in software in the Midlands. It's (almost) free of internal politics, full of very bright people who largely have fun. Work is challenging but everyone is supportive of each other. The employees have a substantial shareholding in the company.

Cons

Could the company focus on making more money?

Pros

Friendly culture - "small company" kind of feel Everyone is very willing to help Very open to people changing roles Weekly sync-ups with management Use of Agile/Scrum makes lots of processes quite democratic

Cons

Terrible at training graduates who don't already have a maths/computer science background. Very bad at training people for whom "on-the-job" training is not suitable. Very male dominated environment, very little diversity. Nearly everyone is an Oxbridge-educated, obsessed with Runescape type, with a Maths degree. Too much legacy technology Very slow salary increases Too London-centric Offices very tired looking (this is about to change with the new Enfield building) Not enough customer feedback gets back to Engineering
