Pros

. There is little feeling of management having superiority. You can walk into the president's office and talk one on one at any time and discuss any concerns you have about the company's direction. . Can create any leadership role for yourself. . Internal projects pop up often, and there are lots of people who will help you with them. . They want to see you grow, and they will provide you with every possible mean to do so. . They have your back if your clients are terrible and are too demanding These are a few of the greatest things about Metova. A note of advice, if you are easily insulted and can't take criticism very well..Metova might not be for you. If you suck at your job, they will tell you bluntly, but that doesn't mean they won't greatly go out of their way to try to help you become better.

Cons

. Sometimes management can promise clients something that they didn't confer with their devs about. . Not necessarily a bad thing, but Metova is growing so fast that sometimes things can get very disorganized. . The goal of the company can seem to be shifting more towards Profits than their motto "Creating a great place to work." . The Franklin office feels almost like a frat house sometimes, especially the second floor. Dirty, random junk everywhere, and just crammed devs into wherever an open spot is.

Metova expanding at an unsustainable rate

Pros

Federal employees given a level of autonomy to accomplish tasks their own way based on customer needs.

Cons

HR: Would not reply to e-mails or phone calls about benefits. Spent 6 months trying to get education benefits outlined in the employee handbook. I received one e-mail for every four I sent to HR. Did not offer apologies... offered excuses.... Coordination of business travel was slow. Didn't seem to be any standard operating procedure for booking, and timely and effective expense reporting.

Pros

The biggest positive is their flexible hours. Heavily promotes autonomy, has decent benefits, and great co-workers.

Cons

There isn't a clear vision which caused lots of unease, lack of communication from management, no metrics / reviews, lots of turnover, you feel as if the company is always a step behind, and little to no training. A very poor company culture may not seem like a deal breaker, but it should be.

Thank you for your review! The pandemic shook up a lot of people, but we quickly identified ways to keep our employees safe. Switching to remote work, adding an employee cross-training initiative, and embracing culture initiatives such as coffee zoom chats and lunch and learns are just a few of the ways we are adapting to this new way of life.
