Pros

Excellent safety culture. Dedicated to make sure their pilots are supported with good equipment and safe operating conditions in the field.

Cons

No bases in the western US, but I am sure they will expand that way eventually.

Pros

The safety culture and training is great.

Cons

The pay and allotted vacation time is below the industry standard. The company acknowledges this and claims to be working on this with little to no change.

Pros

Pros: 1. Family-like feeling. Company is small enough to personally get to know the majority of people affecting your career and to develop a nice relationship with them. 2. Character and Leadership counts - rarely.... and I mean rarely... do you ever find leadership that stands behind what they say and lives the values they ask you to live. This is perhaps the best perk of this company. Great leadership is not an accident. 3. Safety - all HEMS companies have to have an SMS program. On paper, I'm sure ours is just fine. Maybe even could use improvement. In actuality, the daily decision and the culture towards safety is excellent. 4. Pay and Benefits - take your salary offer, and then add 6000-8000 dollars to your salary offer in realized savings from the benefits they provide. You don't pay insurance premiums. You pay a "high deductible" style plan capped at 3k individual and 5k family but they give you 1500 bucks for free every year towards those numbers. If you have a full family, you'll enjoy the benefits. 5. Investment - multiple times, I have seen great investment into employees who work hard and have the character to succeed. It's not a company that requires mindless grind to get ahead. Character counts!

Cons

PTO - expect to start at what amounts to 5 days of vacation if you are new. If you are coming from another company, you MUST negotiate your old vacation from day one or you will be sorry. PTO policy is well below average in the amount that you receive. That being said, I have never had issues using it. This issue is #1 complaint of most new employees. We work hard. We want to enjoy our lives away from work too.
