Pros

Excellent training facilities and small family feel to a big company. The insurance can be waived for retired military with Tricare benefits and they will reimburse you $5000 per year for not using their insurance. Excellent maintenance facilities and competent crews and mechanics. I enjoyed my time with Metro quite a bit.

Cons

Still focused on the Pie Chart. Safety is very important in the culture and generally would not question pilots for turndown decisions. In busier programs, the focus is on keeping the customer happy versus keeping the pilots happy. This created a higher than average turnover rate.

Pros

Metro genuinely cares about its employees. It feels like a close-knit community and a place you are proud to work. The work is very niche in the aviation space. Great 401k matching and health, dental, and vision insurance does not cost you.

Cons

For your first 4 years, you only accrue 40 hours of vacation time every year (1.67 hours a pay period). You get paid twice a month, instead of a normal every 2 weeks, so between paychecks takes more management.

Cons

Going to Shreveport during time off for training can get in the way of life sometimes. Wish they could figure out something else.
