Pros

Leadership and staff are engaged with the mission of providing high quality health care to NYC's most vulnerable members. They don't just talk about helping people, they work hard everyday to improve the health and lives of members. I love the creativity of trying new things to make things better and feel supported in my role. As a nurse, I feel I am given the opportunity to make a difference in people's lives.

Cons

Streamlining electronic platforms in different departments which is being addressed with investment in a new platform.

Pros

When I first joined MetroPlusHealth, I didn’t expect how much I would grow—professionally and personally. Over time, I’ve learned new skills, taken on new challenges, and now do work that’s very different from what I started with 10 years ago. MetroPlusHealth really invests in its people. There are great opportunities for on-the-job training and learning, and leadership makes a real effort to keep us informed about major decisions and goals. That kind of transparency helps us feel connected and engaged. MetroPlusHealth also supports employees who want to keep learning and expanding their skillsets. Looking back, each year has brought something new, and I’m genuinely grateful for the growth I’ve experienced here.

Cons

Due to the nature of health care industry, workload can get heavy during peak periods, and it’s not always easy to balance everything.
