Pros

Incredibly smart and talented colleagues. This is a fast growing company where everyone works really hard, but employees can still manage to have a work life balance. Metromile has the potential to significantly disrupt the auto insurance industry, where many drivers would save money on per-mile insurance.

Cons

Like any start-up, a lot is expected of you and for many roles you need to makes things happen on your own without the guidance you might get at a larger company.

Pros

I probably say this too much - but I feel like we've done a great job of finding super passionate people who care about the work they do and are a joy to work with. This is one of the more social offices I've worked in and I love hearing / seeing that people are hanging out on the weekend either heading up to Muir Woods or headed to a movie after work. I also appreciate

Cons

I will say that at the moment - because we're growing rapidly - we're running into the dilemma of having a lot of work but not necessarily hiring quickly enough to keep from feeling a bit overwhelmed at times.

Pros

Super smart, passionate people. It's really great to come to work surrounded by people who are excited by what the company is doing. Employees are generally very helpful and collaborative. Fun, relaxed office with plenty of perks. Exec team is very transparent about company plans, challenges and successes.

Cons

Like any quickly growing start-up, there are the occasional long work hours. However Metromile makes it clear that work-life balance is important, and there is an unlimited vacation policy.
