Pros

401k dollar for dollar match up to 6%, T-Mobiles phone discount, health benefits are fantastic, get to take company truck home. Bonuses are nice if they get handed out.

Cons

When Metronet acquired Vexus, you’d expect Metronet leadership to guide the Texas market. Instead, Vexus leadership was left in charge, which has created noticeable favoritism—salary bumps and promotions have almost exclusively gone to former Vexus employees. The current director lacks strong leadership and leaves many questioning the direction of the Texas operation. Supervisors are expected to be available nearly 24/7, even though this is never clearly stated. You’re expected to work through outages regardless of the day, remain on call unless you’re on vacation, and even PTO often comes with interruptions. Work-life balance is essentially non-existent. Leadership in Texas fosters a replaceable mindset. The director’s go-to phrase—“why don’t we just fire them”—reflects how little value is placed on retaining and supporting employees. This culture drives disengagement and uncertainty about the company’s future in the region. Lastly, pay is outrageously terrible for the people that matter the most, supervisors, techs, NFTs.

Pros

Everything I need to do my job (vehicle, computer etc.) was there waiting for me day one, the whole company is reachable by MS Teams so if I have a question so there is no waiting around trying to get an answer. Benefits are great and earning 3 years vacation starting day one. Real team feeling, they send you back to Evansville your second week for training to ensure you have a good head start, the rest comes from team. Been a very inviting culture. A big plus is the free access to LinkedIn learning, if you need to brush up or gain new skills.

Cons

A little more hands on software training on the programs we use would be nice.
