Pros

Pay, Location, Work independence, Residents

Cons

No training like they promise property owners. When I reach out for help, I receive contradicting information. No direction - Expected to know how the business operates with no training, no direction, and no money to work with. The portfolio manager lacks knowledge of the industry outside the company. Money hungry and manages the business in an illegal manner to acquire a few extra bucks. This makes me look bad. I am constantly making up excuses to give my residents for illegal late fees, overdraft fees, rent increases, software glitches, etc. This company pays an unreasonable price for vendors, repairs, and appliances. Business is not operated cost-effectively. As a manager, I have no communication with who oversees my portfolio manager and for some reason, they think their portfolio managers are gold. They should reach out to their property managers for insight and advice, and try to meet our needs and operation necessities. Lack of help with everything. Overworked. I am extremely unnapreciated. Others are given credit for my accomplishments. Bogus bonus pay. It's impossible to receive bonus pay for unit turns because there is little to no maintenance help.

Pros

Pay was good at $23.50/hr.

Cons

No respect for employees. Uses the employees to put blame on their own mistakes. Absolutely no training, yet they claim they have trained you. As part time was only allowed to clock in 22 hours/week. Yet my personal work load required me to work 40+ hours. So I wasn't allowed to clock in for that amount of actual time. My boss threatened my job if I did clock in for more than 22 hours. I was told to ignore work orders from the tenants, I was asked to move new tenants in apartments that needed much repair. I was told to not have the broken down elevator fixed until a Monday when it broke down on a Friday so that the company would not have to pay the overtime for coming in afterhours. We have disabled persons in wheelchairs that require the elevator to be working . What if there was an emergency? That's just a small amount of laws I am sure were against the law.
