Good retirement package, somewhat laid back environment, opportunity to advance coming up due to upcoming retirement turnover over the next few years

Cons

unorganized, unmotivated coworkers. strict sometimes unnecessarily, no real company culture, no networking opportunities. was always told by other workers to get out while you can

Pros

The IT department is a fairly relaxed environment with friendly people. HR is friendly and helpful. The equipment is state-of-the-art.

Cons

When you get there, it's "Welcome aboard. You are set for life now. Government: Great pension, etc.." Then you see all the protests that occur outside (this is MTA Headquarters). Then you find out that they overspent on several failed projects and need to let people go. Then every day you wonder if your name will come up next ...
