      For entry-level workers, a very good company. Good learning opportunities and challenging projects.

      Pros

      Profitable unit. Good projects to work on and stretch yourself. Employee-friendly management. Work-life balance is achievable. Part of a larger successful global company.

      Cons

      Compensation is not at par with market. It is gradually improving, but RAININ is still behind. Growth opportunities available in pockets. Moderate level of politics.

      - compensation and benefits ok - no micro-management, leadership team will not disturb as long as results are good - fairly international

      Cons

      - no possibilities for growth / personal development - remain inside your comfort zone and you're fine - no-risk strategy often kills good initiatives - particular efforts rarely honored

      Pros

      some products, especially in the Lab area, are cutting edge and interesting. Anyting innovative in this organization comes from Switzerland.

      Cons

      Bizarre, backwards, back-biting environment. Some of the worst "this is the way we've always done it" attitudes you will find anywhere. Top management in the US are in a weird "clique", that doesn't communicate much with middle management. That same top management has a limited skill set and I expect wouldn't last long in a real organization. Workspace for middle management and below is basically a small desk..the worst I've ever seen. Cube walls are low and workers are on top of each other. Miserable.
