      It was a exciting, and challenging experience everyday.

      Pros

      There is never a dull moment. Plenty of opportunity for advancement. Great pay and benefits. Continuing education was encouraged and partly paid for. There are several facilities, shifts, and specialty positions to choose from.

      Cons

      It is a high volume of daily stress and stressors. Dealing with inmates, staff, the public and administration is challenging.

      Pros

      Great salary compensation, with a decent retirement plan.

      Cons

      The supervisors and administrators breed misery, if you are in a position and you're happy and doing well; they transfer you. They haven't figured out that when an employee is happy the provide better service.
