      Pros

      Very flexible and good work life balance. All of the central IT staff work hard to help each other when issues cross groups.

      Cons

      It being a public university they salary is based on the job and university’s that are similar size and they use an average of those for the pay ranges. And there is no negotiating to the higher end of the ranges from what I have heard and witnessed.

      They are very fair and flexible with working schedules.

      Cons

      Moving up is a difficult process for some. There are special cases where certain employees don't have to jump through the same hoops to get a promotion.

      Tuition waver for employees, good health insurance, great coworkers in my department

      Pay is low, no transparency from administration, have to take on additional duties with no increase in pay due to layoffs and hiring freezes
