      I loved working on a project for a profesor over the summer. It was well paid and I had a lot of fun working on it.

      Cons

      I did not get as many hours as I would have liked.

      Challenging and satisfying student job

      Pros

      Decent salary, friendly coworkers, good location on campus by the bus station, nice working culture, feel like contributing to great project. Chance for raises. Weekly meetings help the programming group stay organized, and are usually well attended. Development is done with CakePHP with an Oracle database back end. Small group of programmers working on projects.

      Cons

      Gets lonely working alone in cubicle when other student employee is not there. Software development system can be frustrating to learn at first. The campus it is on (MSU) can get crowded at times, and as a student it is challenging to budget my time as a computer science student and part time employee.
