Good starting pay, overall great work environment with great coworkers. They train you well and genuinely care about you, for the most part.
Cons
The managers have way too much incentive to push cashiers to reach certain numbers, while providing no positive incentives for the cashier to do so. This creates a serious relationship problem where the cashiers just feel resentful cause they're never good enough. There's also very little opportunity for upward mobility. Understaffing is also a major issue.
MicroCenter is the kind of place you want to work if you love being around computers. That's what they sell, the salespersons are all rather knowledgable so it's easy to support the sale from a Customer Service standpoint. Fair benefits package at 6 months even for part-time, employee discount is very competitive with other electronics retailers.
Cons
The stores are kinda dingy, the pay is so-so, and the pressure to sell 'extended warranties' that people already decide they want or don't want is high – there is commission on those for even cashiers, though.
