Thank you for taking the time to give us a 4-star review. We are pleased you enjoy the training Micro Center offers, and you understand the benefits of our commission-based sales environment. With our flexible schedules you can set your availability to receive a variety of shifts. At times there can be difficult customers however with our knowledgeable, and patient associates we can deliver great customer service. Please discuss with management the different type of shoes allowed in the dress code to ensure you are comfortable while working. Sincerely Leslie Whitley, Regional HR.

Pros

Employee discount is pretty solid.

Cons

Management doesn't properly manage and force feeds "culture" crap. The employees know more about selling and more about the products than them. Paid on a sliding commission scale that is hinged on you selling people stuff they don't need like VPNs, MS office, ect.. Multiple daily meetings to go over how to push more garbage, unload and organize massive trucks, detail clean in dress clothes (dress code is a joke for a retail job) all for $4 an hour.

I'd like to be able to share your perspective with the leaders at your location but I'm not sure where you work. Your managers would want to know what you expect and need to be successful. Our goal is to offer our customers a total solution so we do offer solutions based on what our customers tell us they need (this is part of our excellent training). The job of a Retail Sales & Merchandising associate involves putting merchandise on the shelves so you can easily and quickly find it as customers need it. While your base pay may be $4 per hour, depending upon which department you work in, our Sales & Merchandising associates average $18 - $32+ per hour and no associate makes $4 per hour. Our customers appreciate the knowledge and professionalism of our associates including our dress code. Thank you for sharing your perspective and I encourage you to reach out to your Regional Human Resources Manager with any concerns you might have. Sincerely, Angie Miller VP-HR
