Pros

Flexible with your schedule for students. Pay is decent, better than other similar retail computer jobs in the area.

Cons

Over time upper management has pushed this position more into a sales position. Job performance is judged on profits and add on sales, not technical ability. No IT related opportunities, only retail management. No 401k matching

Bad upper management from Corporate

Pros

They will pay for certifications. Some of the best technical support team when I was there. Annual company picnic. The co-workers know their stuff and are helpful. The benefits are good (Not great, but good)

Cons

It is easy to get written up. Even when it turned out NOT to be your fault. Like if Apple failed to help a technician and took 5-6 chats with their support team before they realized they goofed and locked up the repair process. Once released one could go forward and try again. Apple complained, even though in the wrong. This ended up a write up for a technician. Same issue with attendance, you CAN NOT be even a minute late, and three times equals a write up. Further action is suspension and termination. Support to the employees is little. This comes from Corporate, not the local managers FYI. They are understanding. Constant overtime, just to keep up. Hard when you have plans outside work.

This is a good starter job but I wouldn't want to work here long term

Cons

Management is okay Customer is always right Transparent Help to Techs from Management The workload sucks and there are not enough staff They have recently taken away a lot of the more common things we get spiffed on
