      You can save a little bit on employee purchases

      As a CSR, the fate of your employment is in the hands of people who may or may not be willing to give you information so that Micro Center can send them ads. You can do your absolute best, but it still might not be good enough. Their turnover rate is astronomically high; I only recognize about three people from my tenure whenever I need to get something from them.

      Pros

      Good people to work with and for. Benefits package for full-time workers is good, and comparable to other companies. Hard work gets rewarded. There are opportunities for advancement and leadership.

      Cons

      - Communication from corporate is inefficient and often contradictory—instructions from managers can change drastically from month to month as they test out different strategies. - Compensation is mostly based on commission, and therefore seasonal and irregular. Spring and Summer are slow shopping seasons, and your paycheck will reflect that. - The work schedule is erratic and random. Do not expect regular hours. Sometimes you won't get your schedule for the week until two days before the week starts. It's difficult to schedule a lifestyle around such a schedule. Expect to perform a "Clopen" a few times—that's when you work a closing shift until late at night, and then have to get up early the next morning to open the store. (Close + Open = Clopen)

      Management beat around the bush a lot and don't want to pay you much. Terrible hours.
