Pros

The people are generally nice, and it's great to work if you like technology, computers, and anything with a chip or a bit. I feel like a kid working at Toys R' Us. There are opportunities for advancement, either into management or sales, I've seen people go both ways. They are closed for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and have limited hours on some other holidays.

Cons

It's retail, so it has the same pitfalls. During the Summer, because of less customer traffic and college students opening hours, hours become competitive, where they are plentiful between November and April.

Pros

Decent employee discount, especially on cables. Meet many different wonderful people from all walks of life and made some life-long friends.

Cons

Always understaffed with revolving door syndrome. Human Resources is not for the employees, rather for the company's reputation. "Open Door Policy" means nothing ever since they eliminated local HR, and even then it just meant that the door stays open so everyone can see/hear you raising concerns so management can be petty and vindictive. The only way to move up is to have 100% open availability and being willing to lie to/mislead customers. Business model is to hire management (including district level and up) from companies that were ran into the ground due to poor management and yet expect higher returns. Many shady, unethical and borderline illegal activity has been overlooked as long as the employee is a star in certain numbers. Every position is a sales/stocking position, even the cashiers and technicians. Over the years it became less of taking care of the customer and more of take advantage of the customer
