Pros

The company provides a work enviornment that promotes growth of the individuals working there through numerous educational benefits. Also, they instill a culture of ethics and customer service that makes you proud to come to work. On my occasionss management complemented me when I excelled in sales or customer service.

Cons

Long retail hours but compensations rewards hard work. You have to be prepared to work during the holidays which in some cases may interfer with family time. But in both situations that i have requried time off for a specific need management was open to helping me satify my needs.

Pros

There are great benefits at Micro Electronics, and most of the management is very good about giving you time off for personal issues and health reasons. The company goes to great lengths to retain quality employees for a long period of time. When Micro Electronics policy says Customer Service is one of the most important features of the company, it isn't just empty words--the company actually stands behind the policy 100%...something that most companies can't say in these times.

Cons

Even though the benefits are good, the pay is quite low at the Home Office for us worker bees. Pay raises have been held below the rate of inflation for the last 5 years, and many people were already making below industry averages to begin with. Low turnover means a lot of good people hang on for a long time, but it also means there's a lot of average performers who could stand to be cleared out. The Purchasing department runs rampant over the rest of Home Office, with little to no accountability for mistakes or limitations on what they can do--leaving other departments to either pick up the slack or hold the bag, depending.

Pros

Decent employee discount, flexible scheduling. Management at store level seems competent and willing to work with employees on personal issues. There is a good atmosphere and camaraderie between employees.

Cons

Incompetent senior management at corporate level, lot's of office politics.
