      It started well but became very political with many game players.

      Pros

      Micro Focus offers a great benefits package and there is some flexibility towards working from home, based on your manager's preferences. There are some fantastic people working there.

      Cons

      Lack of long term vision and strategy from the management team. There's a lack of communication from the senior team too. And worst of all, there's a lot of politics. Micro Focus fosters a 'culture of fear'. So many years of restructuring, changing management teams and CEOs. Many people are afraid to speak up for fear of being next in line to lose their job.

      Ok, so the pay is decent, and the benefits are pretty good (especially for the people who have been there a while). There are some good people working here, friendly and competent. Unfortunately, that is about all the good I have to say about Micro Focus.

      Cons

      Outside of their products for mainframe, upper management simply has no clue. I don't understand their business strategy, and neither do they. The blind leading the blind. Whatever strategy they pick, you can be sure that direction won't last. Revolving door of people trying to get out of here. Demoralized and defocused.
