Business Outlook
Pros
Novell had a great work/life balance. The people were pleasant to work with as well. Developers have their own spacious offices in a nice high rise building overlooking the mountains or local municipal golf course. Benefits were good at one time, but really took a hit when the company was taken private.
Cons
This is an Enterprise Software company and as such the software they product isn't used by a large number of people. Their sales have been poor for many years and although there was once a lot of cash on hand, they have been taken private and then public again and it seems the cash has evaporated during that process. There is not much excitement about the products that are actively being worked on.
