Interesting project, great colleagues, bad management
Pros
Project was pretty interesting, relatively new technologies and a lot of learning opportunities. Most colleagues were really smart, technical people Since pandemic started, WFH was the way of working (that's because is was more convinient for local management)
Cons
Really bad management, especially people management; some persons are simply not made to be people managers and they seem to not understand or care about that. You would think they will understand such an issue when a lot of people resign, but no Workload increased in the last about 2 years (a lot of resignations, nearly no hirings) which kinda pushes you to work overtime Although I said there were mostly good technical engineers, there were exceptions; and if these exceptions were new hires/juniors, it would have been understandable, but when the PO/PM has no clue what the product does, there is a huge problem With Open Text aquisition, a lot of layoffs have come unexpectedly reducing half of the team (you would think the incompetent PO was layed off but no because he was a friend of the management - safe spot ngl). Even if we asked what it's going to happen, everyone assured and reassured us that we will not have layoffs but then, one day, they tell you that you are not employed anymore I do not recommend this company, nearly all good people left
