      Pros

      The benefits are good, medical premiums are very low. ESPP is good as well- can enroll at 1-10% of base salary. The executive staff are extremely friendly and nice. They are also very open and honest about business conditions.

      Cons

      Not many- the training they offer is very beneficial if it is a new career path to you. Good company if you are a New College Graduate. The only con I see is that reviews and salary raises/ promotions are no longer tied together so it can feel as though you are putting in a lot of work without much financial incentive.

      Pros

      On site health clinic for employee and spouse Family Day to bring your family members to see where you work Occasionally a great quarterly bonus

      Cons

      Hiring 'kids' who don't want to actually work at their job, they would much rather sit around and talk. Supervisors who are incompetent and are more concerned with how much work is being moved, but don't want to do anything about the 'kids' who want to sit around talking. Leads who don't do anything but sit around with the 'kids' and talk.

      Thank you for your feedback regarding the lack of co-worker engagement where you work. We have many openings in our Fab in Gresham. Many of the positions we have there are entry level positions. So, the applicants that apply are often just starting out. By accepting employment with us, they have an opportunity to build skills and gain employment experience that can benefit them greatly in the long run. In this way, we also help the local community by offering gainful employment. This does not excuse anyone from putting in an honest day’s work. We expect our supervisors to engage and motivate employees and that everyone is working to their full potential. We are always interested in learning where we can make improvements, so thanks again for the review!

      Pros

      Relaxed and friendly work environment where people are willing to help each other to get things done...similar to a start up environment.

      Cons

      At Micrel, there is a general lack of enthusiasm and energy and morale is quite stagnant. I think pay may be lower than industry.
