      Work life balance, challenging projects, stable company in terms of profit.

      Cons

      this might also be present to other companies, working with international team members across the globe, meetings can be a challenge due to time differences.

      Pros

      Good work life balance. People from other sites work well together. Microcontrollers are interesting and lots of opportunities to learn during your career. Exposure to challenges too.

      Cons

      Too many redundant positions inside. Departments has no ownership and accountability. Cost is too much, hiring redundant people doing nothing. This was the undoing of the company.

      Atmel was OK. Most people there were great!

      Pros

      Most people there were great! Although there will always be exceptions, the esmplyees (in particular at this site, and one other non-US site) were truly this company's best asset.

      Cons

      Atmel management was for the most part OK. But as the years passed, it became more and red tape and harder to actually get good engineering work done.
