There was a disconnect with what they expected from me and what was discussed in the interview process. It would have been nice if they were completely transparent with how they judged their sales reps. Their policy is that if you do not sign a SOW in your first 90 days it is grounds for termination. I personally believe that is a very aggressive goal (especially selling into net new SAP accounts), but for some more seasoned people may be more attainable. Given I came into the situation with no customers or named accounts it was quite challenging. When I was interviewing they made it out to seem like they are not driven by quarterly success but that is certainly not true.
The CEO is really nice and really enjoyed my interactions with him on a personal level. However, professionally I would admit that there were some things that I disagreed with. Overall, I give my experience a C- at Microexcel. Even though it did not work out for me it may very well be a great fit for someone else.
