They do encourage learning and growth within your existing role, taking college classes always gets approved. I didn't leave Micron because Micron, I left because I wanted to live someplace else, If you're an engineer and want to live in Boise, Micron is your best bet, and it's not a bad bet either. Some of the best engineers I've ever worked with were at Micron.

Good pay, interesting technology, opportunity for growth and/or change. The company has recently gotten a new CEO and VP. Since the change the overall trajectory of the company on the SSD side is promising.
