      good place to get experience in semiconductors

      Pros

      I liked working with the people there, friendly atmosphere, good benefits, gained a lot of experience

      Cons

      for such a large company it was hard to move around. Always hiring freezes every time there were market problems. In the 90's it was expanding like crazy with lots of opportunities. After 2001, it changed, and it was harder to get advancement

      Pros

      Challenging work. For the semiconductor field is not overly stressfull as I have been in the industry before and this field can be very high stress. Interesting.

      Cons

      Expect to not get any salary increase from what you have been hired by the company. They do occaisonal market reviews, that does not compare to the true semiconductor field competition. In one word...money. In two words...money and management.

      Amount of PTO earned monthly Easy to connect with your peers

      Cons

      The majority of senior management is clueless Managers will talk about your performance with your peers Taking time off is frowned upon (Micron comes first) Difficult to move upward unless you have Boise, ID connections) Forget about a raise Must badge in to the site, they say this does not reflect performance but during reviews suprvisor did show me my clock in and clock out times (mine were perfect, but I know for a fact they do this with everyone). Very unflexibale when it comes to personal issues
