Pros
The best part about Micron is the team that I get to work with. My supervisors are all trusting, understanding, talented, smart, wonderful people. Our talents and strengths seem to balance each other well and we have a great vision and direction for where we are planning to take the team and department.
Cons
The company has struggled financially since I joined the team. We recently went through a round of layoffs, which are always awful. I feel the company could have handled the communication and handoffs of responsibilities that resulted from the layoffs a little better. Also, due to the difficult financial times, we do not have the kind of budget we were hoping for to allow us to travel to conferences and to meet up with one another, as well as fund our projects in a way that would bring in help and resources. We trust this is a temporary hiccup that will be resolved in the near future, and look forward to what we will be able to accomplish once the market normalizes.
